Stand on the first tee and you will see for yourself. The views are breath-taking and the layout spectacular. This renowned undulating parkland course is undoubtedly one of the finest in Essex. Measuring 6254 yards, this 18 Hole Par 70 course has been created utilising the very best attributes of the natural landscape. Rolling hills, carefully placed bunkers and water hazards, including a spectacular island green par 3 12th hole all add to the challenges that inspire golfers of all standards on each and every hole. The condition of the course and the maturity of the trees give the impression that the course is many years older than it actually is. Construction of the course started in 1989 and it was open for play in September 1991.

Luton Hoo- Golf Day
LU1 3TQ
10:30 – 18:00
There had only ever been a Victorian nine-hole course on the Luton Hoo estate, so it came as a design challenge to create what is, at 7,107 yards, one of the longest 18-hole golf courses in the UK – while simultaneously preserving the Grade 1 listed parkland in which it is situated. The outcome is an immaculate course that features a series of subtly challenging landscape features including six holes with water obstacles.  Not one tree was removed in the making of the course and in fact 1,500 oak, beech and sweet chestnut saplings were transplanted from other areas of the estate.  In addition around 50% of the acreage covered by the course is sown with wildflower, giving a more natural feel than other links.  Of course golfing guests who wish to overnight at Luton Hoo can do so in style – in the Grade I listed mansion or Grade II* former Robert Adam’s stable building, which houses the club house plus 12 well-appointed bedrooms and suites. More rooms are available in the Flower Garden Wing and alongside is the Spa at Luton Hoo, featuring a state of the art Technogym, complementary treatments and therapies and an indoor swimming pool.  Buggies not included in ticket price

They are immaculately maintained allowing them to remain open all year round, with no winter greens even on the coldest of days. Our course we will be playing in March is The Melbourne £95 Per Person
